eTrack is primarily delivered as hosted solution at our professional Hosting Centre where we are responsible for, and handle all tasks & costs regarding:
- Hardware
- Software
- Internet access
- UPS
- O/S & Software upgrades and patches
- Monitoring
- Maintenance
- Backup
- Etc
eTrack’s hosting is located at TDC’s European hosting site, which has direct backbone access to the Internet, ensuring you fast response speeds and optimal accessibility.
Having multiple redundant fail-safe systems, which include multiple Internet access points, UPS, clustering and hot standby of all the critical servers and hardware components maintain accessibility and uptime.
The system is constantly monitored, and backed up on a daily basis.
Our professional service level agreement (SLA) provides you with the assurance and confidence that you need.
eTrack can also be offered in the following manner:
- Terminal Server eTrack access
- Turn Key Solution
Terminal Server eTrack access
For those clients who have either poor performance PC’s, or a poor Internet connection, we can provide Terminal Server Access to the eTrack management system. This means that your customer reps connect to one of our servers, which “acts” like their PC, and delivers only the graphics over the Internet to their client.
This option is usually only used for clients who have very poor Internet access from where their customer service reps are located.
No matter where your customers or customer service reps are located in the world, eTrack responds with its screen within a second.
The Case Handler, which is opened when a case is processed, preloads all data your customer service rep may need when handling the case – this is therefore the one “screen” in the system which takes up to 3 or 4 seconds to load due to the amount of data being transmitted. If your customer service reps have a poor connection, then a Terminal Server Access can reduce this to the 1-second norm of the rest of the system. Terminal Server requires Terminal Server licences purchased for your users.
NOTE: The forms that are placed on your website seen by your users are always displayed within a fraction of a second regardless of there connection speed as the Contact Forms have been designed to handle your low bandwidth customers.
Turnkey
eTrack can also be delivered as a turnkey solution where you are responsible for all hardware, software, Internet access, backup, etc.
Though we offer this solution, we don’t recommend it, as it is cost prohibitive for you as a customer.
We are able to offer eTrack at our low price because we are able to distribute the costs of the hosting centre over multiple clients, and though the servers a turnkey solution requires need not be as powerful as our hosted solution servers, the costs involved for you as a client to set up the servers and maintain them make this choice costly.
Some companies have “self hosting” criteria defined at the strategic level, which is why we offer eTrack as a turnkey solution.
Our turnkey solution also requires VPN access for our development team so that we can upgrade your system to keep in step with the hosted eTrack solution.
